Affiliate disclosure
We earn a commission if you buy through links on this page. It never changes our picks.
Which links are affiliate links
- Buttons labelled "Check price at …" with the note "Paid link" are affiliate links, or may become affiliate links once a program accepts us.
- They go through an address on our own site that starts with
/go/, which then sends you to the retailer. We use it to add the retailer’s tracking code and to count clicks (without storing your IP address; see our privacy policy). - Affiliate links are marked
rel="sponsored"for search engines. - Links to sources, manuals and standards are ordinary links and earn nothing.
Pages that contain affiliate links say so near the top, before the first link.
Programs we belong to

Amazon
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Links to Amazon go directly to Amazon. We do not show Amazon prices, ratings or images on our pages; check the current price on Amazon.
What commissions never change
- Which products we cover, pick or rank. Products without any affiliate program are treated the same.
- What we say about a product, including its downsides.
- Lab results. Brands cannot pay for tests, scores or placements.
For readers in the UK, Canada and Australia
In line with UK advertising rules (the CAP Code enforced by the ASA), content promoting a product through an affiliate link is marketing, and we label it clearly: the "Paid link" note appears on every affiliate button and the disclosure appears near the top of every page that has them. The same labelling applies to all our readers.
