Found a wrong spec, a broken source or a claim that does not hold up? Tell us. We fix errors in the open.
How to report an error
Email corrections@kerfandpress.com with:
- the page address,
- what is wrong, and
- a source that shows the correct information, if you have one.
Manufacturers and retailers are welcome to report factual errors about their own products the same way. We check the claim against a public source before changing anything.
What happens next
- We aim to reply within five working days.
- If the page is wrong, we fix it and add an entry to its update log with the date and what changed.
- If a correction changes a pick, a score or a recommendation, we say so at the top of the page, not only in the log.
- If we disagree, we explain why in our reply.
Types of change we log
- Correction
- Something we published was wrong.
- Research update
- New information changed the page (a new source, a spec revision by the maker).
- Pick change
- A recommendation changed, with the reason.
- Retest
- A lab result was re-measured, for example under a new protocol version.
- Price
- A price or availability note was updated.
